Your Property, Your Priorities

Protection That Fits Your Routine

A useful alarm design accounts for who uses the building, which areas remain occupied and how the property is opened and closed. An alarm that is awkward to set is less likely to be used consistently.

Explore the System Overview
  • Homes: protection while you are away, with suitable part-setting options when people remain inside.
  • Small businesses: entrances, offices and stock areas, with user access matched to the people responsible.
  • Existing systems: worn keypads, unreliable detectors, missing access details or a need for newer control options.
The right detection
Choose protection for entrances, rooms and vulnerable areas rather than fitting the same kit everywhere.
Simple daily operation
Plan entry routes, part setting and user access around your household or team.
Options explained
Understand app control, communications, maintenance and any ongoing service costs.

Options Explained Around Your Needs

New builds, refurbishment & suitable existing wiring

Wired Alarms

Hardwired detectors can be practical where routes are accessible or sound cabling is already installed. We test existing circuits before recommending reuse.

Where disruption needs to be kept down

Wireless Alarms

Wireless detectors reduce the need for new detector cabling. Device placement, radio performance and battery maintenance still need planning; the control panel may require a fixed power supply.

Keep suitable parts where it makes sense

Hybrid Systems & Upgrades

A compatible panel may combine wired and wireless devices. We assess the panel, detectors, sounders and communications before proposing a partial upgrade or replacement.

Agree the scope before work starts. Your proposal should set out detection areas, panel and keypad positions, sounders, controls and any app or signalling options. An app notification is not the same as a monitored response service. Any monitoring or insurer requirement must be agreed separately.

How Your Installation Comes Together

  1. Discuss Daily Use

Talk through your concerns, who uses the property, pets, entry routes and how you want to set or unset the alarm.

  2. Survey & Specify

Assess detector positions, wiring or radio coverage, power and backup arrangements. Check any stated insurer requirements before agreeing the system.

  3. Install & Programme

Fit the equipment, configure zones, user permissions and entry/exit behaviour, and set up the agreed control and communication options.

  4. Walk Test & Practise

Test detection, sounders and agreed communications. Practise setting, unsetting and part setting with you, and explain fault and battery indications.

WESEC Project

An Alarm Installed Alongside Home CCTV

The Dunstable residential installation included wireless alarm detectors and a main panel alongside six Hikvision cameras and a wired doorbell. It shows how different security measures can be planned for the same home.

Different systems can protect the same property without sharing every function. Any integration, app control or monitoring is agreed as part of your own design.

Can Your Current Alarm Be Kept?

Age alone does not decide whether an alarm needs replacing. Available access codes, component condition, manufacturer support, compatible detectors and the changes you want all influence the recommendation.

If you do not have the original paperwork, tell us what you do know and share a photo of the keypad or visible model label. Do not open the alarm panel or send us your access codes.

Support After Installation

Know How to Use It. Know Who to Call.

Alarm maintenance can include testing detectors and sounders, reviewing faults, checking communication functions and checking backup arrangements. Replacement sensor batteries are included in the agreed maintenance plans; panel and bell batteries are not included in maintenance.

We explain the installed equipment, the checks you can carry out and when to ask for support. Ongoing maintenance is available for suitable systems within our coverage area.

Your Installation Questions

Can I have an alarm if I have pets?

Often, but suitable detection depends on the animals, room layout, furniture and installation. Tell us about your pets during the survey. No detector should be treated as a guarantee against every pet-related activation.

Will the alarm contact me or the police?

These are different arrangements. Supported app or communication options can notify nominated users. Any monitored response, eligibility and recurring charges need to be specified separately; they are not assumed to be included.

Can an alarm work during a power cut?

Many systems use a backup battery, but actual operation depends on the equipment, battery condition and communications path. We check the proposed backup arrangements and explain their limits.

Can you take over a system fitted by another company?

We can assess many existing systems. Support depends on condition, access details, compatibility and manufacturer support. We explain what can be retained and any changes needed before agreeing work.

Tell Us What You Need to Protect

Share your postcode, the property type and whether this is a new alarm or an existing system. Tell us about pets, separate occupied areas or any insurer requirements you already have.

We confirm coverage, discuss the requirement and agree any survey or next step before work is arranged. The quotation sets out the proposed equipment and installation scope for you to review.
